Galliano-less Dior. Nice goodbye for him! Still, sad to see him go. Enjoy.






Ungaro "dressing the mistress" in leather, feathers and lace.




Jean Paul Gaultier's old gals... Parisian women. But not your sexy young usual black burréd girl. Old women. The kind of woman you run into doing her groceries in Rue de la Pompe. In my opinion, a beautiful collection! Parisian chic all the way.








Finally, Givenchy. It's no secret that I've been loving Ricardo Tisci's collections a lot lately. He's great in Givenchy and keeps it young and fab. I wonder what he'd do in Dior?... He'd be great in my opinion! I have to admit though that I'm not completely in love with this particular collection.

Paris Fashion Week FW 11-12

Yes, I know, between New York and Paris there is London and then Milan! But I'm in exams and I'd much rather post about Paris!! Honestly, this season was the hardest not to be up there... Lady Gaga walked in Mugler! I would've given my right arm to see that!! The brand is making a very clear comeback. We saw it starting at the men's fashion week and this just confirms it.



Now, more gossip! Balmain's Christophe Decarnin supposedly had nothing to do with this collection because apparently he's been at a mental institution since January after suffering a nervous breakdown. Still a Decarnin-ish collection, with the shoulders a bit toned down. I like it... just reaaally hate the white shoes!




Balenciaga it's always weird in a good way... I still have my mind torn with this one: is it weird good or just weird? Judge for yourselves.




Always chic and wearable Celine. I loved the LBD!




And for the grand finale (of the post), Chanel. Karl went from white and sweet in the couture collection all the way to black and smoky. I just have to say, me likey! Karl's back! Disclaimer: I hate kitten heels. Truly detest them.

Drama at Dior: Galliano, racist?

Yes, believe it or not, one of the most beloved designers of our time is being accused of racism. And these accusations appear not to be unfunded. A video of the designer John Galliano,50, was made public last Friday. In it, he verbally insults patrons at a restaurant, while being drunk. These insults however, happen to be of a very delicate nature. Mr. Galliano ranted an antisemitic speech to some of the presents. It looks like the people holding the camera asked him some questions which he, in turn, answered in this very rude manner. He even affirmed: "I love Hitler". This, of course, is causing quite the scandal in the fashion world. So far, he's been suspended from Dior, but his permanence in one of the most renowned Couture Houses remains uncertain. What do you think? I personally believe he's a genius... and like all geniuses, he's mad... and he was mad to say that, but hey! He still makes nice dresses right? Obviously, I don't think he will carry on as Dior's creative director, and what he said was very wrong, to say the least. But let's see what happens now. Maybe he doesn't think he did anything wrong, maybe for him, this was nothing but a PR suicide.


PS. He's gay right? Weren't gays killed in the holocaust? Like I said, he's just mad...

It's Oscars best dressed time!

At last, the red carpet we've all been waiting for... the place where high fashion comes to life! Let's take a look at MY best dressed nominees:
Hilary Swank in a non-Gucci-like Gucci.


14 year old Hailee Steinfeld in a one-of-a-kind Marchesa she co-designed.


Mila Kunis in this gorgeous Elie Saab. If I had attended, I'd have worn a dress by Elie Saab. Such a beautiful collection!


Halle Berry in Marchesa.


Mom-to-be, and best actress winner Natalie Portman in a wine colored Rodarte. Flawless! Ok, not flawless, I'm not loving the shoes, but the woman's pregnant, she needs confy shoes!!


And, the undisputed winner, Cate Blanchet, who can do no wrong, in a dress from my favorite couture collection: Givenchy Couture. She couldn't look better and no one would have worn that dress like she did!!


Finally, I put this picture because of Anne's Lanvin tux, not James Franco's drag... Just kidding, he was hilarious. He even cracked a Charlie Sheen joke!
