The Paris Fashion Week thickens

3 minutes here, 2 minutes there... and little by little, another post comes together! Exams be damned!

Strong start of the post: Dior. Pretty and boring. That's how I would put it. And some looks are just, well, Valentino-ish. And Valentino 2 seasons ago! Other than that. a lot of back to Dior basics.

And now, Valentino. Oh no wait, still Dior...

Oh well, on a much brighter note, Lanvin. That Alber Elbaz, he can do no wrong! Really!! The last batch of dresses. Oh those dresses. I couldn't pick one!

Viktor & Rolf, with a collection that has been called "subdued", but that I would call "subdued for them". The pop duo Brigitte sang while this collection of ribbons and puffs walked their way down the runway. I really like the second dress, I must say. And, while not as spectacular as some of their latest work, still pretty good.

A very Jean Paul Gaultier collection this season. A nice mix of trench coats, sex and tattoos, with just a touch of S&M. Good one JP!

Look who's designing now? Well, none other than Kanye West! And, believe it or not, his clothes are not half bad! I leave you with a couple of looks for your appraisal.

Lanvin campaign movie

I know I have neglected my blog ok? I will be neglecting it for the following 10 weeks, so get used to it. But I just had to post this! This is the funniest video I've seen, ever. As it is Lanvin's Fall campaign, it has, of course, Alber Elbaz written all over it. Because, let's face it, who else would use a Pitbull song to advertise Lanvin!? I can't get over how funny it is! And the ending, god, he's the best! I hope I made your day, Alber made mine!

Lanvin Resort 2012

I've seldom gotten so excited about a Resort collection as I have with this one. I adore Lanvin and Alber reminds me the reason why every time!

Oh and this is what all my children are going to dress like.

Paris Fashion Week FW 11-12 Part 4

The last post on Paris fashion week... Starting with Yves Saint Laurent, with a very unremarkable collection, in my opinion. Still, some pretty looks were to be seen. What you'd expect of a YSL show.

Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton keeps proving herself to be the right person for the uber-hard job of substituting Lee in his namesake brand as creative director. As per usual, her collection seems more feminine and brighter, but she respects the brand. I really like her. Oh, and I love the shoes!

Some urban looks at Vivienne Westwood. She's so cool and British! I love her.

I didn't like Nina Ricci at all! Only these couple of looks, but apart from that, thumb down.

Zac Posen was gorgeous this season. Very sculptural silhouettes, tight and colorful. And that floor length cape is to die for.

And, last but so very def. not least, Lanvin. I'm sorry but I can't judge objectively this collection. I'm too biased in favor of Alber Elbaz. I adore him! I can say the clothes were too baggy for my taste, but I still like it.

That's all! It was a great season!! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!
