Paris Fashion Week FW 11-12 Part 4

The last post on Paris fashion week... Starting with Yves Saint Laurent, with a very unremarkable collection, in my opinion. Still, some pretty looks were to be seen. What you'd expect of a YSL show.

Alexander McQueen's Sarah Burton keeps proving herself to be the right person for the uber-hard job of substituting Lee in his namesake brand as creative director. As per usual, her collection seems more feminine and brighter, but she respects the brand. I really like her. Oh, and I love the shoes!

Some urban looks at Vivienne Westwood. She's so cool and British! I love her.

I didn't like Nina Ricci at all! Only these couple of looks, but apart from that, thumb down.

Zac Posen was gorgeous this season. Very sculptural silhouettes, tight and colorful. And that floor length cape is to die for.

And, last but so very def. not least, Lanvin. I'm sorry but I can't judge objectively this collection. I'm too biased in favor of Alber Elbaz. I adore him! I can say the clothes were too baggy for my taste, but I still like it.

That's all! It was a great season!! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Paris Fashion Week FW 11-12 Part 3

The devil's work at Viktor & Rolf. Stiff and armor-like outfits. Very V&R!

A little more of the usual in Valentino...

Miu Miu's 80's craze!

I'm liking Louis Vuitton less each time... Some of these looks remind me of Britney Spears in Womanizer. The rest are ok at their very best.

In the midst of the drama surrounding his name, Galliano's genius raises to the occasion and a beautiful collection is presented, despite everything else. His favorite decade, the 20s, revisited.

And to wrap up the post, Elie Saab. Some dresses a bit Lanvin-esque, but otherwise a pretty average collection. Nothing mind blowing there.

Next time, Paris fashion week wrap up!
